General information
Note: ASIP refers to the Employment Insurance System Act 2017
 
(i) Your application must be submitted within 60 days from the date of loss of employment (LOE) [Section 28, ASIP]. Your claim will not be processed if there is any delay in submitting this application.
 
(ii) The original copy of all the necessary documents must be brought during your meeting with the SOCSO officer.
 
(iii) If you have any enquiries or problems, kindly contact customer service at 1300-22-800 or visit a SOCSO office near you.
 
List of banks
 
(i) The payment of benefits will be made through Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT). If you have any problems with providing your bank account details, kindly contact a SOCSO officer to make a declaration about your bank information.
 
(ii) The payment will only be made to accounts at the following banks. Please refer to the list below:

Notice Statement
 
(i) Complete applications will be verified by a SOCSO officer while incomplete applications will not be processed.
 
(ii) A copy of the following mandatory documents must be submitted with your application.
(a) One copy of your NRIC
(b) One copy of your termination letter (including VSS, MSS or similar schemes)
(c) One copy of your pay slip (6 months from the date of loss of employment)
(d) One copy of your bank account details
Supporting documents:
(e) One copy of a relevant police report (e.g.: sexual harassment, threats etc.)
(f) One copy of of a document that proves you received instructions to perform dangerous duties that are not within your job scope.
(g) Others: Specify (documents related to specific cases)
